What is your role at LJTP?
As a Talent Acquisition Consultant, I consider myself to be a partner to both my client and my candidates. I feel it is my responsibility to find the best talent available for the client’s open roles, while at the same time, be a guide and an ally for my candidates throughout the hiring process.

What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
My recruiting career started a lifetime ago at Enterprise Rent a Car and after pausing my career to stay home with my kids, I came back to recruiting as a contract recruiter, focusing on the pharmaceutical industry.

What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
Paula Wroble introduced me to LJTP and I am forever grateful! She shared so much passion and excitement about the company when we talked that I knew it was something I wanted to become part of. Although LJTP has experienced incredible growth since I joined, the excitement and family feeling has remained the same.

What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
In general, I love the rush that comes when a candidate accepts an offer! Knowing I played a part in changing someone’s life for the better is very gratifying. For the role itself, I love being independent in my work while knowing I am part of an incredible team that will support me in whatever way necessary. I also know I have a voice here and that my thoughts, opinions, and suggestions matter to management. Finally, I respect the complete transparency we receive from management.

What is the most challenging part of your job?
On the surface, the most challenging part of the role right now is the current market. Candidates have so many options for finding a job these days! Overall, though, the hardest part is when a great candidate gets rejected by the client. However, the fact that we have a “Candidate Share” message board is great! We really do try to help one another help our candidates.

How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
LJTP has given me professional growth opportunities by partnering me with different companies in different industries. In addition, on our weekly team calls, we spotlight one client, where that client’s
recruiter(s) give a short presentation on the company and industry they are working for, opening me to a world outside of my prior, very streamlined, pharmaceutical recruiting. Personally, I am more fulfilled than I have been in any prior job. The autonomy and ownership in my work provides a great sense of accomplishment and has made me much happier, which in turn, makes me a better mom, wife, friend, etc.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I love spending my free time with my family and friends. It doesn’t matter what we do, as long as we are together. When I need to escape from everything, reading a great love story while enjoying my favorite wine is my go-to activity!
