What is your role at LJTP (describe in more detail than just the title)? 

I am a Sourcing Specialist. In my role, I assist the Talent Acquisition team by focussing my time searching for candidates who are most qualified for a particular job. This allows our Talent Acquisition team to focus their time on speaking with each candidate and communicating with our clients. 

What did you do prior to joining LJTP? 

Prior to joining Lucas James, I was a stay at home Mom who had recently left my full-time job.

What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since? 

I was very excited about the opportunity to work with Tim on his new venture. I truly believed in his vision and I wanted to be a part of it! I also loved that LJTP has a culture that puts family first. As a SAHM it means so much to me to have the flexibility and I can say that this has remained the same since day one!

What is your favorite part about working at LJTP? 

I love hearing that someone has accepted an offer! It is so exciting to see our team succeeding! I also enjoy the prep work that goes into sourcing for a new position- I find it so interesting to learn about the different jobs out there!

What is the most challenging part of your job? 

I think the most challenging part is also the most rewarding and that is being a 100% virtual team. This presents its obvious challenges but it also allows our team to focus on what is important- work/life balance.

How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally? 

Being one of LJTP’s first employees I have been able to observe and learn so much about starting a business- something I think will have a lasting impression on me. I have also been given an opportunity to learn a side of HR that I have always been interested in but never pursued until now. I never knew how much I would love recruiting!

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

 If I am not chasing after my toddler, I am probably blogging about my latest DIY project at R&R at home!
