What is your role at LJTP?

I am a Talent Acquisition Consultant. I’m currently working on the Sedgwick team where I’ve been tasked with hiring Workforce Absence Team Leads.

What did you do prior to joining LJTP?

Before joining LJTP, I was interning at an Insurance/Tech startup called Clearcover. On top of that, I was also finishing up my senior year of college at the University of Iowa.

What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?

I was drawn to the freedom that I would be able to have by working remotely. The company culture hasn’t changed one bit at LJTP, the only thing that has is the number of employees and it’s grown a lot since I started 6 months ago!

What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?

My favorite part about working at LJTP is the supportive company culture. Everyone here is more than willing to go out of their way to help you with anything. That goes a long way, especially for someone like me who has only recently joined the workforce.

What is the most challenging part of your job?

The most challenging part is staying organized. As a recruiter, you’re dealing with a lot of information, especially in an RPO setting where you’re working with another company on top of your own. So it’s easy to get overwhelmed unless you have a process of organizing the information that you received.

How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?

LJTP has helped me with managing myself. Since I am working on my own in a remote environment, it can be very easy to drift away from tasks. Working at LJTP has helped me be more present and control my attention, not only professionally but in my personal life as well.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with friends and family which usually entails eating good food and having a few drinks. I also really enjoy music and playing video games.
