What is your role at LJTP?
I am a Sr. Talent Acquisition Consultant and am responsible for working alongside different clients and finding the right fit for them. The key to success starts with an initial discovery conversation where I listen to the client’s needs and ask questions to fully understand the role, company culture, and the impact this role has on their bottom line. I believe a thorough understanding of the role, great strategy, and staying
disciplined on the execution assures a great experience for both our clients and our candidates.
What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
Before joining LJTP, I was involved with agency and RPO recruiting, identifying, and placing talent across a variety of industries from financial services, healthcare, information technology, sales, marketing, and manufacturing.
What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
The Flex RPO model is what drew me originally to LJTP because it is quite different from your standard agency delivery. The ability to scale resources is attractive for companies of all sizes needing talent acquisition assistance in any industry.
What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
LJTP allows me to work as an extension of an existing client’s talent acquisition team and I can see and recruit on a variety of skill sets in different industries and locations. It keeps things interesting, and there is always a challenge to navigate through and conquer. The work-life balance here is also unlike any other I have experienced. The leadership puts their trust in their employees to be able to work from home and
have flexibility. This has been especially important with the pandemic in 2020 and I believe this type of flexibility drives me to meet and exceed expectations.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
The job market is currently candidate-driven, which means there are more candidates out there than there are jobs. It is important to stay a step ahead and come up with creative and engaging ways to attract that talent.
How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
LJTP challenges me daily and consistently puts focus on professional development and culture. At this point, I am still a newbie at LJTP, but the welcoming has been very warm and inclusive.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I enjoy spending time with my wife and dog in my free time, binge-watching shows and movies, and doing projects around the house that we just moved into this past summer. I enjoy playing pick-up basketball, golfing, bicycling, and DJing with friends and family whenever I get an opportunity.
