What is your role at LJTP?
I’m an Associate Director of Business Development with a focus on working with technology companies. Not only am I working to drive new business and build partnerships for the firm, but also working with our clients to support their growth through meaningful introductions to our network.

What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
Prior to LJTP I was a Sales Consultant at TriNet where I focused on working with VC/PE backed Technology companies. I really enjoyed my time there and immersing myself in the amazing tech ecosystem we have here in Chicago. I had the opportunity to build some amazing, lifelong relationships with my coworkers, clients, and partners.

What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
Working with Tim and the team as a referral partner gave me insight into the astounding character not only of the firm but more importantly of Tim as a person and leader. Ultimately, when the offer came to the table, it was impossible for me to say no! Since I started in January, the growth we’ve seen internally and investments we’ve made for the overall success of the employees has been so much fun to watch.

What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
By far my favorite part of working here is the team. Just like I learned playing baseball in college and professionally, when you’re surrounded by an awesome group of people working towards the same goal, motivation to better yourself comes easy. That’s something I feel here every single day. Taking that a step further, I love seeing the way our team interacts with our clients and instill some of that LJTP passion into their culture.

What is the most challenging part of your job?
The Technology Industry is extremely complex and constantly changing. What makes my job challenging, but also extremely interesting, is learning more about the many different and always evolving sub-industries that make up this space. I’ve strived to do this through building relationships with Founders and investing in a wide range of different start-ups.

How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
Even in the short time I’ve been here, it’s awesome working at an organization where my efforts and opinions have so much impact. This has really taught me the importance of always being curious and continuously learning about the recruiting industry, our company, and everyone’s specific role. This allows me to be as efficient as possible in positioning our service model with prospects and clients that see the most impact.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When I’m not working, I love spending as much time as possible with my friends and family, as well as going on walks around the city with my girlfriend, Kayla, and our dog, Ali. Outside of that, I’m always trying to watch as many sporting events as possible, and play slow-pitch softball and golf like the true retired baseball player I am.
