What is your role at LJTP?

As a Talent Acquisition Consultant, I partner with one of our long-term clients, assisting their internal recruiters with more niche openings. I utilize a variety of tools to source, identify, and connect with qualified candidates and assist them through the interview process.

What did you do prior to joining LJTP?

I’ve been a recruiter, in a variety of forms since 2014. I initially ran a full desk for a large traditional contingency firm, where I was responsible for new business development, account management, and recruitment. I’ve additionally worked as a corporate recruiting specializing in building out the company’s internal salesforce nationwide.

What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?

I was looking for a role with a stronger career progression that offered the flexibility I needed to work full-time with small children. Corporate recruiting didn’t offer the diversity I was looking for in my day-to-day, but traditional firms required demanding hours with little to no flexibility. Since joining LJTP, everything I was promised regarding opportunity and flexibility has been true, and any changes that have come along have only been beneficial to the needs of myself and my family.

What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?

I enjoy the ownership I’m given over my account, and the ability to be more of a partner than a vendor. I also appreciate the flexible hours and ability to work my hours when I’m more productive. Our leadership team has complete trust in us, and I love the confidence they instill in us.

What is the most challenging part of your job?

Being completely virtual makes it challenging to make connections, however, everyone is incredibly kind. It helps that we’re all virtual, and in the same situations, so all you must do is put yourself out there. I was amazed at how easy it was to make work friends after putting a little effort in.

How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?

The ownership we’re given really helps keep me accountable. We’re given the ability to try new ways of sourcing and strategizing, and our success is completely in our own hands. The weekly updates we send to our clients with our activity also help keep me on track, so overall I’ve gained a better sense of time management.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I love spending time with my family and golden retriever, as well as my girlfriends when I have the time. We have two boys (1 and 3) that keep us very busy. We love the beach, soccer games, playing outside, and cooking.
