What is your role at LJTP?
As a Talent Acquisition Consultant, I partner with specific clients as an extension of their internal recruiting team.
What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
I have been working in Talent Acquisition for 4 years, with experience in Technical Recruiting, High Volume Light Industrial, and High-Volume Professional Service. Before coming to LJTP, I was selling Engineering Services and Technical staffing for a global organization.
What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
A client of mine at my past company started partnering with an RPO and that was my first time being exposed to the model. I found it very interesting and more effective than traditional contingent staffing. My first conversation with leadership at LJTP sold me right away! The people are amazing, welcoming, genuine. LJTP is growing rapidly and becoming a well-known player in the space. Since I started, we have added about 50 more people to our team and continue to grow. This team gets stronger every single day. Leadership puts an amazing emphasis on feedback from the team and is
consistently implementing new/more efficient processes and procedures.
What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
My favorite part of working at LJTP is the transparency of the team and leadership. I have never felt more valued or trusted in a role. From the top-down, this organization is bred on honesty and strong communication. We are all on the same page with the direction we are going and what is important to continue the unprecedented growth.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
The most challenging part of my role currently is facing the most competitive job market I’ve been in since starting TA. It is really important for recruiters to get as creative as possible with finding top talent. Now more than ever, the candidate/recruiter relationship needs to be 110% genuine. The goal is not making placements- it is finding candidates exactly what they are looking for and where they will thrive.
How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
LJTP has felt like home since day 1. This environment has made me more confident in my role, and I have learned so much from my colleagues. Our team is extremely diverse and the connections I’ve made are invaluable.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When I am not working, I am mostly hanging out with my hubby, 2 cats, a pit bull pup, and a gecko. We love our little zoo – they keep us on our toes and are the best Netflix-binging buddies anyone could have.
