What is your role at LJTP (describe in more detail than just the title)?
I am a Talent Acquisition Consultant – I work as a full-cycle talent partner identifying top talent starting with sourcing and engaging with candidates and clients through the entire recruiting cycle from initial screening through offer processes.
What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
Prior to LJTP, I worked in Financial Institution Recruiting.
What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
LJTP was initially presented to me by one of our Delivery Managers and the timing was perfect. I began researching LJTP and was first attracted to all of the positive employee reviews and quickly learned that LJTP is not like any other RPO firm I have seen. It was refreshing to come across an innovative company, enhancing the recruiter/client experience in new and creative ways and working as an “extension” of our client’s teams versus being considered just a contract.
What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
Besides the great relationship between our talent team and our clients, I enjoy that LJTP is also heavily focused on our internal relationships as well. From Trivia nights to No-Shoes meetings, I believe that being engaged internally is part of what makes the client experience so positive. Also, the autonomy that we are trusted with truly shows that we are considered partners, not just employees.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
While it is fun, it can be a challenge moving to new clients and getting up to speed. I enjoy the challenge and embrace it but it does take a little time to learn new roles, companies, teams, etc. but this has allowed me to grow my strengths as a recruiter and get exposure to new things.
How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
Being able to work with different clients and different positions has been a huge piece of my growth in expanding my industry and professional knowledge and being able to expand my resource knowledge. The work-life balance that LJTP provides as well allows for more family and hobby time!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Anything outdoor recreation! Paddleboarding, hiking, boating, camping, UTVs, etc. I also enjoy just kicking back with a good book and of course a Netflix binge here and there.
