What is your role at LJTP (describe in more detail than just the title)?
As a Talent Acquisition Consultant, I work with one or more of our clients at a time and perform full life cycle recruiting. Aside from recruiting I also work with our clients to focus on their recruitment.
What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
Prior to joining LJTP, I held several positions in healthcare recruiting.
What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
What drew me to LJTP originally was Tim and the leadership team. Tim was the first leader who I felt understood the ups and downs of being a recruiter, which was something I hadn’t experienced before. The leadership team cared about who I was, what my goals were, and my success as an individual.
Since then, it has only gotten better. I feel that in just 6 months I have already grown so much as a person and as a professional.
What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
The relationships I have built with the team. I feel included and a part of something incredible, which is not something I had found in previous employers. This team makes me feel supported, encouraged, and motivated every single day.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
A challenging part of this job is the market we are currently recruiting in but that’s an obvious answer and a challenge that is easily overcome with some creativity and teamwork. The real challenge I face on a day-to-day basis is the high expectations I have of myself. I struggle with self-doubt and imposter syndrome a lot but, thankfully I’m part of a team that is always there to cheer me on. I overcome that challenge a little bit each day.
How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
LJTP has helped me to become a lot more confident in my work and my ability to be successful. The leadership team makes it a priority to have open communication with the TACs and provide helpful feedback whenever they can. Knowledge is power so the more I know about how I’m doing, the better I can be.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When I’m not working, I’m enjoying my life with my husband, our 2 pups, and a fantastic group of friends. My husband and I have been searching for the perfect house for over a year so when we’re not looking at real estate, we are enjoying our time relaxing at home. We both put a lot of focus on our careers so anytime we’re both home and not working, we make the best of it!
