What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
I have been a technical recruiter throughout my career, mostly recruiting in an agency setting.
What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
I was drawn to LJTP because of all the positive things I heard from people who worked here. And coming from a traditional agency background, the RPO model was very attractive to me and seemed to be a logical next step for me.
What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
I like knowing that my position is completely remote, and that won’t change. I have an amazing client! The flexibility from LJTP, and a client that embraces this model, allows me to focus on my job and my family and takes a lot of unnecessary stress off my plate.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
Technical recruiting is difficult right now. It is a market that I have not experienced at any other point in my career. It has been incredibly helpful to have a large team of other technical recruiters within LJTP to work through some of the challenges.
How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
LJTP has offered me the chance to step outside the traditional agency model I was so familiar with and imagine a different type of career path for myself. The leadership has also provided a model for balancing work and my personal life. It has helped me focus in on my role for my client on their time and be able to step away when it is my time.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I have two small kids that take up most of my time when I am not working. But when I have time for just me, I enjoy baking. I have managed some pretty impressive birthday cakes over the last couple of years.
