What is your role at LJTP (describe in more detail than just the title)?
I am a Talent Acquisition Consultant/Recruiter. My role is to help clients fill their internal jobs. This role is great because I am able to speak directly with the hiring managers which makes filling the roles much easier.
What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
I worked as a Sr. Recruiter in the Staffing Industry. The roles I worked on were contingent contract and full-time. They included both Technical and Non-Technical roles from multiple industries. This role was difficult because I didn’t often have the opportunity to speak with the hiring Manager. My role also included a lot of metrics that I needed to meet that didn’t align well with filling the jobs.
What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
I wanted to get out of contingent staffing and not rely so much on a commission-focused role. I also wanted to work at an employer who appreciated my work. I feel very appreciated here and I like how the management team shares what is going on in the company.
I don’t think LJTP has changed a lot in the six months I have worked here other than having a larger team. I continue to feel appreciated and continue to feel that the company does a great job at communication.
What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
I like the team members and how the management team shares what is going on. I really enjoy the monthly trivia too!
What is the most challenging part of your job?
The most challenging part is to learn and fill roles that are new to me.
How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
LJTP has allowed me to work with a client in a corporate type of environment. I have been given the opportunity to work on some interesting roles and work with some great teams. I feel I am better suited to this time of work in contrast to my previous experience in contingent staffing.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I enjoy running, taking Peloton classes, and watching a lot of TV.
