What is your role at LJTP?
I am a Sourcing Specialist with LJTP. I am dedicated to sourcing qualified candidates for LJTP’s clients, specifically those candidates that may not be actively seeking a career change.
What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
I am a full time stay at home mom to my 5-year old son Weston. I have been exceptionally fortunate to stay home with him and consider this my full-time job for the next 15 years! Prior to his birth, in what I jokingly call my “past life,” I was an HR Director in the hospitality industry.
What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
I was drawn to the flexibility of working for LJTP and definitely think more companies would have huge success with a similar flexible business model. I am able to work part-time and on my own schedule while still actively contributing to matching great candidates with great opportunities.
What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
My favorite part about working for LJTP is being able to keep my job as a full-time stay at home mom, yet also keeping my talent acquisition skills in motion.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
While I love the flexibility of working out of my home office, it can sometimes be challenging to match a candidate’s personality with a company’s culture without meeting hiring managers in person.
How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
I had never worked with Interseller software before during my career. I have learned a lot about the power of Interseller in a short time and think it’s an amazing professional tool to have in my arsenal for recruiting talent.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I love spending time with my family and friends. Family movie night is one of my favorite days each week and I love trying new restaurants with my friends (during non-covid times of course!). I enjoy working out, specifically jogging and yoga and I love the feel of new running shoes! I am an essential oiler and use them for absolutely everything, so I love learning about them and sharing with others. I enjoy watching silly movies, listening to all kinds of music (mostly country and classic rock), traveling, and discovering and testing craft beers.
