What is your role at LJTP (describe in more detail than just the title)?
I am a Talent Acquisition Consultant. I partner with my clients to help them develop their hiring processes, source new talent, and hire individuals that make the company grow. I allow the company to focus on what they do best and not get bogged down in hiring processes.
What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
Prior to LJTP, I worked for an executive search firm as an Executive Recruiter which was your traditional staffing agency model before making the decision to join LJTP. Before that, I was a Talent Acquisition Partner at Optiv Security as part of their internal HR team.
What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
Originally, I was referred by a friend who works at LJTP. LJTP provided a straightforward, honest, and transparent picture of who they were and who they were not. I felt like I aligned with LJTP principals, and their people-first approach made me feel like this was a place where I could grow.
LJTP continues to practice transparency and it has been great watching LJTP continue to hire and grow while staying true to its guiding principles and values. While change is the only constant at LJTP, values are not sacrificed.
What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
The culture and the people-first approach. The fact that LJTP truly cares about its people’s success and provides an environment where you can actually have real home-life balance and it’s not just something they talk about but actually live it and breath it.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
Helping these organizations understand market conditions, refine hiring processes, and hire top talent can be very challenging. It is also very rewarding. I have stayed in this line of work because I love helping people find a dream job that will help them achieve personal and professional goals.
How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
LJTP has also challenged me to grow professionally by allowing me to work in a community of other TACs that are experiencing the same things I am with clients. I love being able to bounce ideas off others when it comes to challenges with clients, candidates, or other areas. I have started to look for ways to improve my skills, my business acumen, and client interactions to ensure that I am a valuable member of my team.
Personally, it has helped me be a better father and husband because of the home-life balance it provides.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When I am not working I enjoy working out, watching movies, listening to music, being outdoors in the sun, and spending time with my family and children.
