What is your role at LJTP (describe in more detail than just the title)?

I am a Talent Acquisition Consultant. I partner with their hiring team and the hiring managers. I consult them on what I am seeing in the market and work with them to find ways to attract and retain great talent.


What did you do prior to joining LJTP?

Before Lucas James Talent Partners, I was an agency recruiter that worked on both RPO positions as well as contract positions.


What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?

What drew me to Lucas James was that I was looking for something different. To me, they were just another job until I spoke to Shantelle. The way she described Lucas James and their vision got me excited. Then speaking to Oscar and Dan, I wanted to be a part of what they are building. The longer I am here, the more I want to not only be a part of the team but help in any way I can to continue its success.


What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?

The people. Everyone here has reached out and accepted me with open arms. Professionally, they are always willing to help. Your success equals the group’s success. I feel closer to my coworkers virtually than when I worked in an office.


What is the most challenging part of your job?

The most challenging part of my job is turning it off. If I hear or see an email come through, I want to answer it as quickly as I can even if it’s 10 pm.


How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?

Lucas James has challenged me to be better. We have created an environment where I want to be the best person I can be both personally and professionally. We have spotlights, empowered partners training, and Monthly Learning Circles. We are all actively creating a culture of inclusion, transparency, and authenticity.


What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my pets and exploring things to do in my local area.
