What is your role at LJTP (describe in more detail than just the title)?

As a Talent Acquisition Consultant, I partner with key stakeholders to strategize, support, and create a talent pipeline based on the company’s values and hiring needs. I build relationships with talent teams, hiring managers, and candidates in order to provide a great hiring experience.

What did you do prior to joining LJTP?

I ran my own company where I provided HR and Talent Acquisition consulting services to startups and other small businesses. I loved helping organizations create people processes and teams that helped make it possible for them to scale with high-quality talent.

What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?

LJTP provided a straightforward, honest, and transparent picture of who they were and who they were not. I felt like I aligned with LJTP principals and their people-first approach made me feel like this was a place where I could grow.

LJTP continues to practice transparency and it had been beautiful watching LJTP continue to hire and grow while staying true to its guiding principles and values. While change is the only constant at LJTP, values are not sacrificed.

What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?

The people…duh! There is so much positivity among the team it is infectious. Being part of LJTP team makes me think more strategically and always find the bright side of a situation. The people are humble and we push each other to do better, think better, and be better daily.

What is the most challenging part of your job?

Either staying unbiased on a candidate that you really liked and want them to get an offer. Or when a candidate declines an offer and accepts a competing offer. I compare it to either starting a race and not being able to finish it or starting a race and running at your best speed but not being able to share the joy with anyone until the end.

How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?

Personally, it has allowed me to really focus on the people and things I was neglecting before (i.e. my family). This is the first time in my life that I can truly say I have a good work/life balance.

Professionally, I love that I am learning something new every day. Either a trick to creating a better Boolean or diving deep into a new type of role. The learning opportunities are endless. At the same time, LJTP has shown me how a little bit of grace and calm can really turn a situation around.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I love hanging out with my husband, and 2- and 4-year-old boys. All things Peloton. Training for half marathons, and I’m a big foodie and wine, bourbon, and tequila connoisseur. 😊
