What is your role at LJTP?
I am a Talent Acquisition Consultant, I assist our clients in finding the very best talent in the market for their open opportunities. Staying in touch with candidates throughout not only the placement process but beyond. Always looking to follow their career progression and hope for a long-lasting relationship with them as well as referrals within their network!
What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
I handled business development for a couple of contingent placement organizations. My focus was to obtain new clients, manage those clients, recruit for executive-level placements and make sure clients and candidates were happy and always taken care of!
What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
The uniqueness of the model and what we offer. I knew I wanted to stay within the staffing space but have something different to offer clients and candidates. We offer not only a cost-saving model but a time-saving option as well as increased revenue generation by decreasing cost to our clients. That has only gotten better since I started especially since I now understand it more and how to describe our model!
What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
The team and everyone I have worked with so far. I probably would not have made it out of my last project in one piece if it were not for my counterpart. I think times surface where you need a listening ear, someone to bounce ideas and thoughts off of, just someone as a sounding board. Everywhere you turn at LJTP someone is there to do that for you. Even though we are remote, we are all part of the same team and you feel that here.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
Trying to keep in mind that you cannot control everything, that there are so many other factors and pieces to the puzzle that you might not even be aware of. When you want everyone to be happy, that will become a daily struggle you are taking on and might not have as much control as you think! Just trying to do your best and taking each day and moment in stride with a smile of even something small you might
have accomplished. And hopefully having fun while doing it!
How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
Some of my projects have really taught me better ways of managing my days and what the focus should be each and every day. I have become more organized and more grounded in my recruitment style.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Anything that has to do with being outside. Riding horses, riding motorcycles, going for a run (or probably a walk!), being out in nature, really anything that gets me out of the house. I probably live in the wrong climate for all of that but I try to make it work.
