What is your role at LJTP?
Sourcing Specialist, search various platforms for solid candidates to fill job openings for LJTP clients.
What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
My background is in Human Resources and I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in the field prior to having children. After my daughter was born in 2008, I started a small custom invitation design business and that kept me very busy – and still does – while allowing me to be home with my family for the last 12 years.
What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
Over the last year, I found myself eager for something more and I wanted to get back into my previous career. The opportunity with LJTP was really attractive because of its remote capability and the ability for me to continue to operate my design business, be with my family, and transition back into a Human Resource role. I have found that it has provided me all of that!
What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
I have really enjoyed being part of a team most. Everyone is so enthusiastic, positive and really supportive.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
Shutting it off. Being remote, you can work anywhere at any time. The most challenging thing in today’s day and age is closing the office door for a bit.
How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
It has opened up a huge network of new people for me and it has ignited a spark in me that I feel I was missing for some time. I aspire to be more with LJTP someday, not sure what that is or when.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I enjoy being with my husband, kids, and 3 dogs. Whether we’re hanging at home, at the campground, on a beach somewhere, watching a baseball game or cheer competition, together is a great place to be. I also love a good DIY project. I love all things design and am constantly looking to make something more aesthetically pleasing.
