What is your role at LJTP (describe in more detail than just the title)?
I work as a Talent Acquisition Consultant for LJTP. My client currently is Hillrom and I am recruiting for Field Service Technicians I and II, Asset Specialists, and various other roles.
What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
I was working with Randstad Staffing for three years as a human resources manager. My clients included Tesla, Medline, and Pepsi Co. Previous to that I worked as an account manager for DPSG – Dr. Pepper Snapple Group. My sales areas covered various parts of Northern California.
What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
I actually came across LJTP on LinkedIn and had been in the market for a new role. I saw that it was remote and flexible, and the reviews from employees were beyond positive! It sounded like a great place to work, so I applied. From there I was hired and started within a few weeks.
LJTP has grown from about 120 employees to 180 currently; they are constantly coming up with new ways to adapt to the ever-changing market and always executing.
What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
There is quite a bit! I love that it’s remote, extremely flexible, and you always have the ability to reach out to anyone for questions and get answers quickly. I always brag about my workplace to friends and family. Literally, nobody ever believes me of how amazing it is!
What is the most challenging part of your job?
Trying to get a hold of enough solid candidates to submit to managers by the end of the week. I normally have a game plan every Monday, and sometimes I can’t meet every one of my goals due to circumstances beyond my control. But you need to be VERY aggressive and think of every avenue to get those candidates on the phone, submitted, and closeout that reqs!
How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
It has taught me personally to be a bit more patient in life and to realize work does not rule 100% of your life. Previously I would work 12-to-14-hour days, and rarely take any PTO because I was too concerned about work, making sure everything was complete, etc. LJTP is very big on work/life balance, and I love that! So now I take opportunities when appropriate and am sure not to turn on the computer when I’m on PTO.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Spending time with family, my daughter, hitting the gym, and getting out as much as possible! Always planning out that next trip!
