What is your role at LJTP (describe in more detail than just the title)?
At LJTP, I am a Talent Acquisition Consultant. I partner with my client(s) to provide consultative insight into the candidate market and recruit those top candidates to add the highest value to my customer.
What did you do prior to joining LJTP?
I began my career in banking, where I managed and was a sales contributor inside multiple branches within the Harrisburg area. After discovering a passion for hiring and mentoring talent for my team, I decided to shift gears and transition into a full-time recruiter role. I recruited for the bank for a few years, before moving to a management consulting agency, hiring consultants for public sector agencies.
What drew you to LJTP originally? And how has LJTP changed since?
I was immediately drawn to LJTP after my first conversation with a sales member here. The autonomy, trust, and positivity were something I never felt before. All my conversations thereafter were consistent, and I knew this place was definitely my next home. To be honest, nothing has changed! LJTP practices what they preach, and every day I feel so blessed to be here!
What is your favorite part about working at LJTP?
My favorite part of LJTP is the CONSTANT optimism, transparency, and unwavering support from every single person on this team. When Lucas James talks about their culture and values, they mean it.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
As a consultant, I believe the most challenging part of my job is walking the line of supporting my clients’ needs yet letting them know when their needs are not realistic. I’m a very positive person, so being the bearer of tough news is never easy!
How has LJTP helped you grow personally and professionally?
Providing the amount of autonomy that LJTP does, has helped me grow as a professional to “own my piece”. It has empowered me in ways I have never experienced and given me a growing voice and confidence in myself as a recruiter.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I love doing anything with my family! One of our favorite things is to go camping. Outside of camping, I enjoy cooking, working out, and home décor. My husband and I love to go antiquing and obsessing over Christmas!
